October Dave
Silk presented a talk on Black & White and Infrared Photography.
B&W requires a different approach, with good use of shadow, lighting, tone
and mood rather than relying on impact of colour film. Infrared, however,
is far more complex to work with, requiring total blackout and delicate
handling. Many thanks to George Gardiner, Vincent Parker, Pauline Parker,
David Dray, Howard Griffin, Alan Charman and Peter Brewer for donating
prints. Dave also talked about his experimental work with B&W and
infrared filters on his digital camera and shared them with members using the
digital projector. Thanks to John for the loan of the laptop.
