Members Night:  Talk about 2 prints/slides from your Summer photography

The new Chairman, Reg Fuller, opened the first meeting of the season by welcoming new and old members. A short silence was held in memory of Sally Chaplin, our Secretary for over 10 years, following her sad loss during the Summer. John Sammonds, Programme Secretary, announced several programme changes for September and October. The night continued with members talking about 2 prints/slides they had taken during the Summer. Thanks to John Sammonds, Alan Crisp, Bryan Dawes, Ken Williams, John Couzins, Russell Miles, Sue Huelin, Mick Talbot and Peter Brewer for bravely sharing their work and experiences with us. There was a wide variety of images on display including pet portraits, natural shapes/textures, birds, flowers, transport, folk week, sunrises, french chateaux, coastal shots and sculptures. The evening ended with a review of the year's formal and fun competitions and a request for suggestions for the location nights at the end of the season.
